We are a family home made up of two families who will be happy to welcome you and answer any questions you may have. We offer various workshops and unique experiences with the aim of sharing part of our culture.
We prepare traditional Oaxacan food for events or to enjoy during your stay.
We are a 100% secure accommodation and we are on various platforms such as Booking and Airbnb where you can make your reservations.
OUR HISTORY
Our beginning was not easy, we emerged through the pandemic in 2020, it all started when our bosses left us without work. My entire family has been dedicated for more than 40 years to the production of wool carpets and rugs, so for us it was a very difficult stage where we had to go out door to door looking for work for us, since at home I had a family to support.
We found work with people with high economic resources who took unfair advantage of the situation. Our payment was $200 pesos per rug. My husband and I began working from 6 in the morning until 1 or 2 in the morning to be able to finish a piece in 2 days.
It was there that we had the initiative to create a platform on Facebook to promote our products. During this process, it was a lot of learning and perseverance because I was unaware of the shipping process, so we lost out at the beginning, but little by little, personalized orders began. It was in 2021 that we had the first sale of a dog mattress.
Our first client, Mayte Gonzales, gave us the first recommendation that motivated us to continue and not depend on bosses until now.
Some time later she visited the workshop and liked the place, so in 2022 she called us to ask if we had a room available for her since the place was quiet and she wanted to relax and work on her computer. We had a vacant room that was not rented, we accepted her visit and weeks before we completely remodeled it with the few savings we had.
When she arrived at the place she loved it and that's why she told us that more people should know about it and she helped us create our Booking platform.
We are currently working to offer you the best service and comfort. We also have various workshops that help us grow further in our projects.
